Linear wetland complex along an old Ohio River oxbow. The oxbow is privately owned with several land owners. Much of the surrounding land is converted to agriculture. The oxbow is impounded by 3 culverted roads. See WOOD.8, 9, and 10 for more context.;The plot is located in the middle of an oxbow channel of the Ohio River. There is apprx 20cm of standing water in the plot, and it is covered with Rumex altissimus and Polygonum hydropiperoides / Lemna valdiviana - Spirodella polyrhiza, the latter two floating on the water. The water level likely fluctuates but the community seldom dries up.
